Welcome to the LCS week in review! Each week, we're going to highlight the most interesting moments of the LCS. We would love your feedback each week on what you think should make the cut!

  Play of the Week: X-Shiphtur?!

Heading into their match against TSM, fans gave Coast a six percent chance at taking a game off of the top North American Team. Coast started off their game with an early lead when Danny "Shiphtur" Le was able to pick up a kill on Brian "TheOddOne" Wyllie at the three minute mark. From there, Coast dominated the early game. But, they struggled in repeated attempts to close out the game. TSM was slowly clawing their way back into the game, but after trading three for one at Baron Nashor, Coast stormed towards the open nexus. It looked as if TSM was going to be able to keep their nexus safe for at least a little longer, until Shiptur Spirit Rushed around TSM’s nexus, just narrowly closing out the game.

Team of the Week: CLG (2-0 in Week 6)

Potential. For years, every CLG fan has chanted the same mantra, “Potential.” It looks as if that potential has finally been realized. Everything finally came together for CLG this week. They finally have their world class jungler after lacking one for so long. They also have a leader and mentor in MonteCristo, CLG’s coach. They may have played lower ranked teams this week, but they have displayed massive improvement in terms of overall team play and shot calling. With last weeks performance versus Cloud 9 and TSM in mind, it’s finally CLG’s time to shine, yet again.

Upset of the Week: Coast (#7) defeats Team Solo Mid (#1)

Picking up a kill on TheOddOne at the three minute mark with Ahri was all Shiphtur needed to dominate the midlane. At the twenty minute mark, he had a score of 4/1/3 compared to Bjergsen’s 1/3/0 on Gragas. At the twenty eight minute mark, Coast managed to ace TSM inside of their base. But, they chose to back off as they would only have fifteen seconds before TSM was respawned. For the next fifteen minutes,TSM thrwarted Coast’s attempts to close out the game. That was, until, Shiphtur was able to finish the game within a hair of being killed.

  Falling Behind: XDG (3-11)

It’s been another tough week for the mangled roster of XDG. This week, their problems got even worse. Lyubomir "BloodWater" Spasov left XDG as their support player. This caused Christopher "Zuna" Buechter to move from jungle to support, and Nicholas "Nickwu" Wu Smith to join the team in the jungle. A bandaid fix in week six of a ten week season doesn't look like it will heal XDG’s massive wound. Even more rumors are circulating about another XDG’s roster change for week seven.

Player of the Week: Dexter 7/2/6 on Kha’Zix vs XDG - 6/0/8 on Elise vs Coast

It’s clear that Dexter has made a massive impact on Counter Logic Gaming since joining the team. He acts as the team’s shotcaller, an aspect that has been improved by an order of magnitude in recent weeks. Being the first world class jungler CLG has had in years, Dexter is allowing the lanes to shine. Keep an eye on Dexter, he is poised to make a name for himself in North America.
