EA's "dodgebrawl" game Knockout City is being updated to make the most of the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S consoles, including support for 4K visuals and up to 120 FPS.
Players can choose from Performance and Quality modes from the settings menu when the patch goes live on November 2. These options include the following:

"We have enhanced our lighting with the additional power from next gen consoles, adding features like new area lights, ball lights, particle lights, improved global illumination, and local light shadows," the studio said. "Each of these additional sources gives the environment more reactions to the way light illuminates paths or casts shadows."

Textures are improved, too. The higher fidelity textures were previously only available on PC and Xbox One X, but this will expand to PS5 and Xbox Series X|S with the update. "This subtle change creates a more realistic environment, with 'touchable' surfaces that you can almost run your hand over as you sprint past after your opponent," the studio said.
