Grand Theft Auto VI's first trailer has finally arrived, giving fans a first glimpse at Rockstar's next big game due for release in 2025. One of the biggest questions surrounding the game is the platforms it will be available on at launch, and that picture is coming into focus.
Take-Two has said the game will launch in 2025 on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. But what about PC, and also PS4 and Xbox One?

Now Playing: GTA 6 (Grand Theft Auto VI) Official Trailer
We don't have a definitive answer as of yet regarding either item. However, history suggests that Rockstar may eventually bring GTA 6 to PC, even if it's some time after its initial release on console. PS4 and Xbox One, though? Don't get your hopes up.
Rockstar did not explain why GTA 5 didn't come to PC at launch, but many theorized that the studio wanted to focus its efforts on the console edition. When the PC edition of GTA 5 finally launched in 2015, it also had the Rockstar Editor, which allows players to record, edit, and share videos. The PC edition of GTA 5 became very popular upon release, as it opened the game up to an even wider audience and it led to many fantastic and unexpected mods.
Red Dead Redemption II, meanwhile, launched for console in October 2018 before coming to PC about a year later in November 2019. 2010's original Red Dead Redemption, however, was never released on PC.
There is a possibility that GTA 6 could play on PS4 and Xbox One through cloud-streaming, as the game could beam to those consoles without needing powerful-enough local hardware. Microsoft already supports this as a way to play the most technically impressive games on Xbox One, while Sony is just now getting into streaming PS5 games to PS4.
For GTA 6, though, the only smart bet right now is to assume the game will come to PS5 and Xbox Series X|S at launch before potentially landing on PC some time after.
