Halo Face Masks Are Here, And All Profits Go To Helping Health Care Workers
May 19, 2024 11:35 PM

Microsoft has partnered with MetaThreads to create Halo-branded face masks, and all profits are going to create even more masks.

The $20 USD Halo face mask, which is made of cloth, is green and comes with the Halo logo and branding on the front. The mask is part of the GamersMask4Masks campaign, and as part of this, the profits from each sale will go toward funding the production of two more masks that will be donated to hospital and health care workers.

Now Playing: What Halo Infinite's Delay Means For Xbox Series X's Launch | Generation Next

  A Spartan is always prepared!

Grab your official Halo mask direct from our friends over at @MetaThreads and two will be donated in support of the #GamersMask4Masks campaign: https://t.co/ufcorw1y0J pic.twitter.com/ZjZC8xeKYg

The Halo face mask is registered with the FDA, but it is not an official N95 respirator. Like other cloth masks you may have come across, these provide a barrier to help stop the spread of germs.

The mask is hand washable and has an adjustable aluminum nose part. You can visit the MetaThreads website to order one, but note that the product takes up to three days to ship.

Following a delay, Halo Infinite is now coming to Xbox Series X, Xbox One, and PC at an unspecified date in 2021. The multiplayer portion of the game will be free-to-play, and that could be a very big deal for the future of Halo.

Halo Infinite would have marked the first time since the original Halo in 2001 that a new Halo game launched with Xbox hardware. However, Microsoft chose to delay Halo Infinite to 2021, missing the launch of the Xbox Series X, due in part to complications related to working from home during the pandemic.
