It's been an astounding year for video games, and GameSpot is about to cap off this impressive year with the official launch of its Game of the Year awards for 2013.
Kicking off on December 9 with a special livestream to announce all of our nominees, GameSpot's Game of the Year awards will tell you our picks for the best titles of the past 12 months. We're handing out awards in each of the major gaming platforms this year, so that means awards for best Vita, Wii U, 3DS, PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, Xbox 360, Xbox One, and PC games. Individual platform awards will be handed out daily from December 10.
GameSpot will also highlight our individual editor's personal choices for games of the year on December 18. Each GameSpot editor will list out their personal top 10s, before we move to the major award unveil--the Game of the Year--on December 19.
