Are Nintendo DS players up to taking on two separate games on the handheld's dual screens? That's a question Electronic Arts hopes to answer with Henry Hatsworth in the Puzzling Adventure, a new action-adventure/puzzle mashup due out in early 2009.
Hatsworth with his death laser. Published under the EA Casual Entertainment label, Henry Hatsworth is in development at EA Tiburon, the Florida studio most famous for its Madden NFL games. As the game's most distinguishing characteristic, players must split their attention between the eccentric adventures of hero Henry Hatsworth on the top screen with a puzzle section on the bottom.
EA promises that the two games will have a symbiotic relationship, where power-ups earned in the puzzle section will find their way to Hatsworth in the action adventure realm. EA noted that players will be able to freely swap between the two elements. The game will offer five unique worlds in all, as well as 30 different locales and about a dozen hidden levels.
