Westwood Studios will release its long-awaited Dune 2000 multiplayer patch Wednesday afternoon. After the initial release of the title, Westwood placed the patch on its high-priority list as gamers had complained about the game's lag during matches.
A spokesperson for the company said the patch will improve multiplayer speed and added that the increase would vary depending on gamers' machines and their connections.
If you're already playing Dune 2000 through Westwood's servers, you'll automatically download the patch the next time you log on. Gamers will also be able to download the patch manually from Westwood's web site or from GameSpot's Dune 2000 page.
If you've been playing Dune 2000 and have been turned off by lagging multiplayer features, this may be the fix you've been waiting for.
