Between May 12-18, the first Dota 2 Charity Cup organized by Dota 2 Serbia will go live. Half the prize pool will be made up of the entry fee all teams pay to enter and the other half will go towards helping to cover for Lana Jokić. She is a child suffering from cerebral palsy, whose parents currently aren't able to cover the cost for her medical needs. Alongside half of the entry fee, the full share of the ticket sales (25% of the tickets full value) will also be donated to help Lana's cause.
Lana was born two months early, and her birth was an event riddled with complications, which unfortunately left her being unable to walk due to a lack of oxygen during birth. She is in need of an additional €60,000 to help cover the expenses of sending her to the US for two surgeries. One being a selective dorsal rhizotomy, which will aid her ability to walk, as well as an orthopedic surgery to ensure that she can recover without further complications.
