Edmonton is gearing up for Fragapalooza '98, which is being billed as Canada's "biggest computer gaming festival." It's slated to start on July 16 and end on July 19 and will be held in a converted aircraft hanger.
About $6,000 worth of prizes will be given away, including Sidewinder Force Feedback Pro joysticks, various 3D accelerators like the Diamond Monster II, H3D Eyewear systems, and plenty of software.
The hangar will be populated with public game servers on a high-speed connection, and there will be live WebCam coverage and demonstrations of new games and hardware.
