Call of Duty: Vanguard developer Sledgehammer Games tweeted a note of commitment to players on November 24, ahead of the American Thanksgiving holiday. The message is meant to offer assurance to players that more communication and updates are coming post-holiday.
Vanguard released on November 5, and while the launch was a mostly smooth experience, there were a host of small bugs and issues that still needed to be fixed for the game's killstreaks, in-game challenges, and more. Sledgehammer Games already released a series of updates to address several bugs, including the recently fixed Search and Destroy mode bomb glitch and a weapon tuning pass that made shotguns slightly less overpowered. This still leaves issues with some camo challenges not tracking, the bugged Mortar Barrage killstreak, and more.

Now Playing: Call of Duty: Vanguard Review
A note from SHG pic.twitter.com/1SH07QSc3d
— Sledgehammer Games (@SHGames) November 24, 2021
The developer note addresses the complaints of chaotic spawns on Shipment, the still-overpowered shotguns, and the Dev Error 5573 that causes PC crashing. Sledgehammer Games says player feedback is "constantly viewed, discussed, and over time, will continue to make Vanguard bigger, and better with each patch." The developer also says it will hit the ground running next week, as Vanguard prepares for Season 1 of post-launch content.
For more on what to expect, check out everything we know about Call of Duty's Season 1, which is set to begin on December 8. Leakers are already revealing what could be promotional art for Season 1, including potential new operators and weapons.
This Call of Duty content is scheduled to continue as Activision Blizzard faces lawsuits and other investigations related to alleged sexual harassment and discrimination against women. Most recently, Kotick reportedly said he will consider stepping down from Activision Blizzard if issues aren't fixed quickly.
