One of the best times to jump back into Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War is when the game is holding a Double XP weekend. During this time, you can quickly level up to unlock new gear and weapons for just doing what you were already doing: playing the game. The most-recent Double XP weekend has kicked off as the Firebase Z map is introduced for Zombies mode, and you can try it out or jump into competitive multiplayer as you see your level climb.

　　

Double XP Weekend Start And End Times

The Double XP Weekend event is live now. It started a day early on PS4 and PS5, coming to Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and PC the following day. You still have a few days to make use of the boost in order to get the rewards you want more quickly. And with cross-play, you can play with your friends, even if they're on another system.

　　The event ends at the same time on all platforms: February 8 at 10 AM PT / 1 PM ET. That means you still have about a day left to make use of the experience boost. Especially if you're new to the game, this is the perfect opportunity to get plenty of new weapons and gear before it's up.

　　

What's new to do?

The Double XP Weekend comes as the latest update added the Firebase Z map for Zombies. It's the perfect time to get some cooperative buddies together online and try it out, and there is also a new "Wonder Weapon" in the game that can deal some serious damage. This weapon is currently available in Mystery Boxes and through the Trials on the map, and you can also unlock it via a blueprint method. We also have a guide for how to complete the Easter Egg quest, starting with a few steps any veteran Easter Egg hunters should be familiar with.

　　For those who prefer competitive play, there is also a new map called Express as well as new multiplayer modes.
