Hidetaka Miyazaki, the project director of action-RPG Bloodborne, has confirmed that the PlayStation 4 exclusive title will feature a New Game Plus mode.
In an interview with MCV, the developer claimed that the hardened difficulty mode, which unlocks after completing the campaign for the first time, is proving to be a tough challenge even for its creators.
“Yes, there will be a New Game Plus mode. We’re having trouble beating it, though," he said.
Bloodborne is a spiritual successor to the Dark Souls games; a series that cultivated a dedicated following due to its merciless difficulty in an era where other games designers tend to make life easy for their customers.
Developer From Software has sent the final build of Bloodborne to Sony for QA and certification, meaning the project appears to be on course for its scheduled launch date.
Following a delay, the Bloodborne release date is now March 24 in the US and March 27 in the UK. For more on Bloodborne, check out our previous coverage.
