3DO "Development Group" Cylcone Studios, responsible for the game Uprising and the upcoming Requiem Wrath of the Fallen (expected this summer), is trying to find out "What the Customer Wants."

　　Or at least, that's what it's calling its new consumer promotion/player feedback solicitation.

　　Here's what the company wants people to do:

　　Answer the following six questions:

　　1. How old are you?

　　2. What system do you currently play games on? (PC, PlayStation, etc.)

　　3. What kind of games do you like to play most? (Action, Adventure, RPG, etc.)

　　4. What are some recent games you've bought?

　　5. What's currently your favorite game and why?

　　6. What does the customer want?

　　Then e-mail those responses to 3DO at: [email protected].

　　Enthusiasm and creativity, as they say (well actually, as Cyclone says), is key.

　　Cyclone says that 100 of those who respond will be selected as "gamer-designers" (its term) for each of Cyclone's titles under construction (which currently include Third Domain and BattleSport along with Requiem).

　　Those gamer-designers will be asked for specific game design feedback, will be able to interact with the game designers, and will have "potential for beta testing, as well as the opportunity to be eligible for additional cash and prizes," according to Cyclone.

　　Though it might not turn out to be anything more than beta testing with bragging rights, it could end up providing an illuminating look at the inner workings of the computer game design process.
