2004 Indie Games Festival finalists named-May 2024

  The Independent Games Festival has today announced the finalists in its sixth annual game development competition. Established in 1998 by the CMP Game Group, the festival's goal is to recognize and reward the best independent game developers from all over the world. This year's entrants are competing for over $40,000 in cash prizes.

  The 10 games selected as finalists in the festival's "Open" category are as follows:

  Anito: Defend a Land Enraged by Anino Computer Entertainment, Philippines

  Bontago by Circular Logic, Redmond, WA

  Facade by InteractiveStory.net and The Georgia Institute of Technology, Atlanta, GA

  Fashion Cents by My Game Company, La Mesa, CA

  Fuzzee Teevee by Gastronaut Studios, Washington, DC

  Savage: The Battle for Newerth by S2 Games, Rohnert Park, CA

  Spartan by Slitherine Software, United Kingdom

  Starshatter by Destroyer Studios, Rancho Santa Margarita, CA

  Take Command: 1861 The Civil War by MadMinute Games, New Freedom, PA

  AlphaQUEUE by Large Animal, New York, NY

  Beesly's Buzzwords by Flashbang Studios, Tempe, AZ

  Billiard Boxing by Shizmoo Games, New York, NY

  Chomp! Comp! Safari by AstroManic Studios, San Francisco, CA

  Dr. Blob's Organism by Digital Eel, Kirkland, WA

  Dungeon Scroll by Robinson Technologies, Japan

  Gish by Chronic Logic LLC, Santa Cruz, CA

  Oasis by Mind Control Software, San Rafael, CA

  Space Station Manager by Mistaril, Finland

  Yohoho! Puzzle Pirates by Three Rings Design, San Francisco, CA
