Ubisoft today announced that the sequel to last year's critically acclaimed Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time will now be known as Prince of Persia: Warrior Within--not that the news surprised anyone.
Last week, two prominent sites, Playstation.com and the official Nintendo of America Web site, let Ubisoft's cat out of the bag by promoting the game--new title included. Now, a week later, Ubisoft has confirmed the news.
The game made its debut at this year's E3, where it was known simply as Prince of Persia 2. Warrior Within has come in for some controversy for its significantly darker, "edgier" design and gameplay that appears to be more fighting-centric than its predecessors.
Prince of Persia: Warrior Within is scheduled to ship November 2004 for the PlayStation 2, GameCube, Xbox, and PC.
