This week again proves that 1997 has been Nintendo's year for rentals. For the week ended December 7, all five slots were filled by N64 games.
GoldenEye retained the top spot, with not much of a challenge presented by the emergence of Diddy Kong Racing (number two). NFL Quarterback Club '98, number three, remained ahead of Madden 64. Rounding out the top five was Midway's N64 translation of San Francisco Rush.
For the curious, here's the chart of the top 5 renting video games for the week that ended Dec. 7, 1997. All titles are Nintendo 64 titles. (Rank is followed by rental revenues for the week.)
1. GoldenEye 007 $222,460
2. Diddy Kong Racing $165,360
3. NFL Quarterback Club '98 $159,160
