Available now at a price of £257.24 (US$438), the bundle comprises an Xbox console, copies of Halo and Midtown Madness 3, a one-year Xbox Live subscription, the ADSL activation charge, and a US Robotics 9003 Ethernet router capable of connecting to both the console and a PC at the same time. Subscriptions to Freedom2Surf's broadband service are priced at £22.50 (US$38) a month for the 512k package or £29.99 (US$51) a month for the 1mb Power User service.
"Online gaming is increasing in popularity all the time and, I believe, will really enter the mainstream in 2004," said Chris Panayis, managing director of Freedom2Surf. "Getting started with online console gaming can be a complex process, which is why we have become one of the first ISPs in the UK to develop an easy-to-use and integrated package. Live!Online gives users the power of the Xbox console, combined with the speed and reliability of a Freedom2Surf broadband connection, to create the ultimate online gaming experience."
