Blizzard has unveiled two new features designed to get Diablo III in tip-top shape before the release of expansion Reaper of Souls: Clans and Communities.

　　Both features will be officially added in Diablo III patch 2.0.1, but are currently available on the test realm and the ongoing Reaper of Souls beta.

　　Blizzard says the two features provide "practical tools for finding and communicating with like-minded individuals who share a passion for demon slaying, loot hunting, experience farming, as well as other interests," and by other interests the developer probably doesn't mean complaining about the soon-to-be-killed Auction House.

　　Clans are designed to be tight-knight groups, can only feature 120 members, and entry is available by invitation only. Communities, on the other hand, are designed to be a bit more general purpose, although snootier types can still make them invite-only if they desire.

　　You can form communities based on shared interests, such as peanut butter, ties, or a group that pledges to never, ever forget about the time the Auction House existed. If you want to know what that sounds like in jargon, Blizzard has you covered: "They're all about fostering relationships between like-minded people, with a keen focus on socialization," the developer explains.

　　Diablo 3: Reaper of Souls will be released for PC and Mac on March 25. A version of Reaper of Souls will eventually make its way to PlayStation 4 as part of the Diablo III: Ultimate Evil Edition.
