The world has ended. You are out of supplies, but you cannot leave your bunker. Fortunately, you have a friend who can! Just activate the Scavenger Protocol and your friend will be able to collect all the nearby supplies in your former neighbors' houses for you. Don't worry about any sort of moral conundrums, your neighbors were taken by the mist years ago! They're probably all in the city now, and we don't go to the city! Don't go to the city. Just be sure your good ol' friend avoids anything the mist may send. Don't want to lose your only lifeline to food and water!
Good luck out there. We are so happy to be of service to you! And remember, just because the mist is spreading doesn't mean it should be feared.
The Scavenger Protocol is a short survival game made in the Godot 4 engine. Game art created in Aseprite. SFX editing done in Vegas Creative Software. Music and synthetic tones made in BeepBox.
Made for the 14th Pirate Software Game Jam. If you like the concept of the game, let me know! I have a lot of ideas on the world and gameplay that I'd love to expand on someday.

WARNING: A soft-lock bug was found (a minute after the deadline for the game jam unfortunately). Right-clicking in the world map will cause a soft lock if done while the drone is moving. If this happens, hit escape to exit to main menu and press continue (your game will save and no progress will be lost). Once voting for the game jam is complete I'll be sure to push out a fix.
