Kes, a self-proclaimed freelancer, has journeyed to the small town of Grennia. All is well as she reads a book at the Luna Library, until a courier bursts in. Kes overhears that she'd gotten attacked in the middle of a delivery... over a book, of all things!

　　Deciding to help the courier get her delivery back, Kes gets wrapped up in something only slightly larger.
