The player plays as two characters: Mr. Scientist and his faithful hound Zinnia.
In the overworld, the scientist manages experiments and mishaps that are used as the set-ups for missions in the micro world.
In the microworld, the dog rushes around different environments herding the Goo. The objectives of each level include collecting samples for Mr. Scientist, separating mutating Goo cells from the herd, and defending objectives to prevent the spread of the Goo.
