16 college students awaken in an underwater facility with no exit and no idea who put them there. They are forced to play the Unbinding Game, a deadly competition where the participants must face various challenges that will determine their fate. Their only options are to die in the game, become victorious and survive, or turn the table on their captors and escape.
Hope 2 Oblivion: Abandon All Hope is a mystery visual novel, and a reimagining of a game I made in high school with a different story and scenario, but with similar characters and setting. It will be released in chapters, with the current version of the game going up to the end of chapter two.
Features include:
-A side-scrolling underwater environment with handcrafted pixel art
-16 unique characters each with their own quirks and personalities
-A story driven adventure, where your choices impact the narrative
-Multiple playable protagonists
-Short vignettes into the point of view of other characters
This version of the game goes up to the end of Chapter 2. Chapter 3 is currently in development.
All music and sound effects from the Yume Freebie sound pack by Plasterbrain.
