Who are they? What is their name? Why did they come? Interrogate and match their passports to check for inconsistencies.
Will you let them in no matter what the cost? Will you be a law-abiding officer and play by the rules? The answers are the ones you make. There is no right choice.
Talk to people to find out a bit about themselves, or process them without a glance.
Who knows? You've only got so much time...
