A Child's Courage is a 2D rogue-like with horror elements in pixel look.
The game was inspired by, what we thought to be, one of the oldest childhood fears – the fear of the monster under the bed.
You take on the role of a child who is convinced that there is a Monster in the closet and has bad dreams because of it. And therefore, in the dream, you find yourself in a nightmare world where you have to gather courage while being chased by the monster. The best way would be to avoid the monster but that’s not possible because the monster is actively searching for you. To escape you can sprint and activate rune circles on the floor, by flashing them with your flashlight, to temporarily banish the monster. All while trying to remember the layout of the rooms and gather enough courage to leave the dream world and overcome your anxiety to be able to sleep peacefully.
